FSGP (ASC Qualifier) Info

The Electrek Formula Sun Grand Prix 2024 and scrutineering will take place at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky using the 3.15 mile Grand Full Course. This will be the first time FSGP is hosted at NCM Motorsports Park.

Public Attendance

The Electrek FSGP 2024 is open to the public and free to attend for all three days when solar cars are on the track. The public is invited to watch the action on the track and see the solar cars up close on July 16-18th! Solar cars will be on the track from 10-6 on Tuesday the 16th and 9-5 on the 17th & 18th.

Schedule

The schedule is similar to previous years, except with extended scrutineering hours and the addition of the Altair Challenge. See the detailed hour by hour schedule. Scrutineering slot assignments will be released closer to the event.

Garages

The full garage bay along the front straight will be used for the event. We anticipate 17-19 of these being available as team garages. These will be allocated based on registration status, the first teams to achieve all green status will be allocated garages first until they fill up. At that point teams who achieve all green will be added to a wait list. There are additional private garages at the track which may become available closer to the event for teams on the wait list.

Camping at the Track

IEF has bought out the onsite tent camping facilities to make free on-site camping available to all registered teams. No reservations are required, sites will be available first come, first served. Shower facilities are also available on site with 24 hour access for teams (all teams will have 24 hour access whether they stay on-site or off-site).

RV & Electrical Spots

For teams who would like an RV spot or an electrical hookup, both 30A and 50A spaces are available. These spaces can be rented directly from the track on their website.

Altair Challenge

During Scrutineering and FSGP Altair will be hosting the Altair Challenge on July 15-17. Participating teams will have the opportunity to compete in an Engineering Challenge using Altair’s tools. A Grand Prize of $10,000 will be awarded to the winning team as well as smaller prizes and giveaways for participants. Learn more on the Altair website.
