In Partnership with the National Parks Service, the Electrek American Solar Challenge 2024 route is following Seven National Historic Trails as we See America By National Historic Trail! From Nashville, TN to Casper, WY the solar cars will follow portions of these different trails past historic sites, through big cities, and across the plains.

Note About Opening Times: Stops are scheduled to open at the earliest possible arrival time based on speed limits. Solar cars generally do not travel at the speed limit and may be further delayed by traffic or weather conditions. At some stops the first team may arrive hours after the scheduled opening time. The later hours of the stop time will see more solar cars, please utilize the live tracker for the most up to date information on solar car locations.

Nashville, TN

Adventure Science Center; 800 Fort Negley Blvd, Nashville, TN 37203

  • Display Day: July 19th, 12pm-5pm
  • MOV Practicality Judging: July 19th, Hours TBA
  • Start Line: July 20th, 9am

Paducah, KY

Downtown Paducah Farmers Market; 306 N 2nd St, Paducah, KY 42001

  • Checkpoint: July 20th, 12:15pm-4:15pm
    • Teams will not be allowed to continue from Paducah until after 4pm. Teams arriving earlier will complete optional loops or hold at the checkpoint.

Edwardsville, IL

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville; Lot E: 44 Circle Dr, Edwardsville, IL 62025

  • Stage Stop: July 21st, 11:00am-6:00pm
    • All teams spend the night at the stage stop. Teams arriving earlier in the day will complete optional loops or hold at the stage stop.
  • Evening Charging: July 21st, 6pm-8pm
  • Morning Charging: July 22nd, 7am-9am
  • Stage Start: July 22nd, 9am

Jefferson City, MO

Missouri State Capitol; South Circle Drive: 201 W Capitol Ave, Jefferson City, MO 65101

  • Checkpoint: July 22nd, 12:15pm-4:00pm
    • Teams will not be allowed to continue from Jefferson City until after 3:45pm. Teams arriving earlier will complete optional loops or hold at the checkpoint.

Independence, MO

Independence Uptown Farmers Market; 211 W Truman Rd, Independence, MO 64050

  • Checkpoint: July 23rd, 9:30am-2:15pm
    • There is no optional loop in Independence, teams will serve a 45 minute hold time and then continue to Saint Joseph.

Saint Joseph, MO

Pony Express National Museum; 914 Penn St, St Joseph, MO 64503

  • Stage Stop: July 23rd, 11:45am-6:00pm
    • All teams spend the night at the stage stop. Teams arriving earlier in the day will complete optional loops or hold at the stage stop.
  • Evening Charging: July 23rd, 6pm-8pm
  • Morning Charging: July 24th, 7am-9am
  • Stage Start: July 24th: 9am

Beatrice, NE

  • Checkpoint: July 24th, 11:15am-3:45pm
    • Teams will not be allowed to continue from Beatrice until after 3:30pm. Teams arriving earlier will complete optional loops or hold at the checkpoint.

Kearney, NE

  • Checkpoint: July 25th, 9:15am-2:30pm
    • Teams will not be allowed to continue from Kearney until after 2:15pm. Teams arriving earlier will complete optional loops or hold at the checkpoint.

Gering, NE

    • All teams spend the night at the stage stop. Teams arriving earlier in the day will complete optional loops or hold at the stage stop.

  • Morning Charging: July 27th, 7am-8am
  • Stage Start: July 27th: 8am

Casper, WY
