Official Public Day Sat, Jun 29

Saturday, June 29 is the official public day during FSGP 2013 at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, TX. The event is free and open to the public. Raycing hours will be from 9:00am-5:00pm. During this day, there will be additional displays, talks, and other alternative energy activities taking place, including a model solar car workshop. Be sure to come out to meet the teams, get an autograph, and ask any questions you may have about the solar cars.

FSGP 2013 Fox News Preview

FSGP 2013 shirts can be pre-ordered before June 4th. The shirts cost $10 each and payment will be collected at the track. To reserve one or more shirt, please email ascteams@americansolarchallenge.org and specify the number of FSGP shirts and sizes.

Congratulations to Principia, Waterloo, and Iowa State for being the first, second, and third teams respectively to achieve all greens on the FSGP 2013 pre-event team status board. For all other teams, please work to get in all required reports, documentation, and entry fees ASAP. We wish you all the best of luck with preparing and testing your cars in the coming month and look forward to seeing everyone in Austin!

Special FSGP Rate at Hilton

Hilton at the Austin airport is offering participating FSGP 2013 teams a special nightly rate of $99 plus tax per night for quad occupancy rooms. 25 rooms have been set aside and will be available on a first come first served basis. Teams can make reservations online or call LISA MADRID at 512-634-2169 before June 3rd.

Get Your FSGP 2013 Reports In

Thanks to the teams who submitted their vehicle design report documentation before the March 15 deadline. For all other teams, please submit the required documentation to ascteams@americansolarchallenge.org as soon as possible. Keep checking the FSGP 2013 status page for your team’s progress on fulling all of the pre-race requirements. Please let us know if you notice any discrepancies so we can verify and correct them.

FSGP 2013 Registration Update

We’re pleased to announce that 15 teams have submitted an entry form for FSGP 2013! At this time, we have received the initial entry fee from two of these teams, which means payment is overdue for all other teams. Please mail your payment in as soon as possible. The next big upcoming registration deadline is March 15, when all vehicle reports will be due along with your proof of insurance and signed participation agreement.
