The second stage of the race started from the Topeka, KS going to Jefferson, MO. The Jefferson City stop ended in front of the capital building. Along side the solar cars the Missouri Department of Natural Resources provide displays and exhibits for the public while awaiting for cars to arrive. Michigan was the first team to arrive, followed by Bochum and Minnesota. A total of 7 teams made the stop before it ended at 6pm.
Teams were required to stay at the stop for two hours before rolling down the highway towards their next stop in Rolla.

Jefferson City Checkpoint

The grounds of the Missouri State Capitol will be used as the Jefferson City checkpoint on June 22. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources is hosting the Jefferson City checkpoint and is planning additional activities on the capitol grounds that day.
