NASC2005 Stock Class
Approved Solar Cells

Solar cells approved for the NASC2005 Stock Class are listed below. Additional cells will be added as they are approved by Headquarters. If you would like to use a type of cell that is not listed, please submit a solar cell approval form to HQ. Submissions of new cells for approval will be accepted through December 1, 2004.

Approval of a solar cell only indicates that manufacturer has said that the stock class pricing and availability requirements will be met. The publication of the list of approved solar cells does not constitute an endorsement by the American Solar Challenge of any solar cell, cell supplier, or cell manufacturer.

Additionally, teams need to be aware that a solar cell may be taken off the Stock Class list at a later time if it is found that the availability levels were not met; teams trying to purchase them in a timely manner were denied the opportunity; and the cells perform above the level of other available Stock Class cells. In this unlikely event, teams using the solar cell in question will only be allowed to compete in the Open Class.

Please contact teaminfo@americansolarchallenge.org if you have any questions.
