2004.06.23 - Structural Report Instructions Online
Instructions for fuel cell/energy storage proposals are online at http//www.americansolarchallenge.org/event/asc2005/tech/index.html.
We encourage you to submit a draft proposal with an overview of the system you are considering as early as possible. Additional details can be refined as your project progresses.
2004.03.18 - Structural Report Instructions Online
Structural Report Instructions for NASC2005 are online at http//www.americansolarchallenge.org/event/asc2005/tech/index.html.
While reports are not due until March 1, 2005, we strongly recommend that you read the instructions now and that you turn in your report as early as possible. If you wait until the due date, there will be less time to give you feedback and you will have less time to fix any problems. Also, it is ok to submit individual sections for early review. Please do this if there is a part that you are particularly concerned about.
The Structural Report Instructions will be discussed at the Kickoff Conference.
The Roll Cage/Suspension/Steering Report Instructions will be online soon. Before writing you RCSS report, please also review the Structural Report Instructions.

2004.03.04 - Conference Registration and Menus
Thank you to everyone who has sent in their registration for the Kickoff Conference!
If you have not sent it yet, you can find the form online at http//www.americansolarchallenge.org/event/asc2005/kickoff/index.html. Please send it as soon as possible so we know how many people to plan for.
The meals for Friday dinner, Saturday lunch, and Saturday dinner will be provided to participants at no cost. Thank you to the University of Missouri - Rolla and the Formula Sun Education Foundation for their sponsorship! 2004.02.11 - NASC Solar Car Numbers
Please note ASC2005 Regulation 6.18.1:
6.18.1. Number Assignment - Teams that participated in ASC2003 may have priority for retaining their 2003 car number if they contact ASC Headquarters prior to the ASC2005 Kick-off Conference. A car number event will be held during the conference for the remaining numbers. Teams not able to attend may contact HQ but priority may be given to teams at the conference.
ASC2003 teams (whether attending the conference or not), that want their 2003 car number for 2005 should send me an email to reserve their number. Otherwise it will be available for the Car Number Drawing at the conference.
Teams that did not compete in 2003 and that cannot attend the conference should send a list of their requested numbers. But please note that priority will be given to teams attending the conference.
2004.01.05 - Kickoff Conference
The 2005 American Solar Challenge Kickoff Conference will be hosted by the 2003 ASC Champions, the University of Missouri Rolla. The conference is a great opportunity for teams to learn about all aspects of solar car building and raycing. We strongly recommend that every team send 2-4 people to the conference.
The conference will be March 26-28, 2004.
