The Texas A&M Solar Motorsports Team has been racing solar cars since 1995. With our best finish being 4th place in 1997, we are always striving to improve upon that. Our team builds upon past successes and learns from past failures to produce reliable, well-engineered solar cars. We always seek to integrate new and innovative ideas into our designs by encouraging out-of-the-box thinking and allowing individual team members to develop projects from conception to implementation. It is our hope that through the American Solar Challenge, we can not only strengthen the engineering skills of our members but also expose them to all aspects of project management, giving them the experience needed to perform well in their future careers.
