This page is under construction!

The 2001 American Solar Challenge was a cross-country solar car rayce that was held from July 15 to 25, 2001. The Rayce ran from Chicago, Illinois, to Claremont, California along old Route 66. This was the longest solar car race in the world, with teams facing varied climates, topography and road conditions.

Congratulations to all of the teams for a fast rayce! The Univeristy of Michigan was the overall winner and the Open Class winner. The University of Arizona was the Stock Class winner.
