Just last week we received a donation from Electrek, “a news site tracking the transition from fossil fuel transportation to electric and the surrounding clean ecosystems.” We’re pleased to have them as a sponsor, and hope to have a long lasting relationship.
Have a look at their site, and read a recent article of theirs about the 2018 American Solar Challenge.
Today is the official due date for the ASC/FSGP 2018 entry package (fees and paperwork, see pre-event status page for details) and preliminary design reports. As of the most recent update to the status board, 31 teams have satisfied the requirements, and are slated to compete in the event.
A total of five nations will be represented: United States (23), Canada (5), Italy (1), Russia (1), and Saudi Arabia (1).
Thank you and congratulations to these teams!
If your team has not registered, but wishes to do so — there is still time. A 10 day registration grace period will be in effect beginning tomorrow (October 16th). During this period, no late fees will be assessed.
For more information regarding next summer’s event, please see the official event page.
The latest revision of the 2018 American Solar Challenge regulations can be found on the regulations page. Please see revision B.
Teams interested in the multi-occupant class of vehicles should take careful note, as many updates have been made with regard to this class.
